Biotin and laboratory testing

Each serving supplies 6 mg of biotin, roughly two hundred times the daily value. High-dose biotin is a documented cause of interference in a range of common laboratory immunoassays, including some thyroid and cardiac tests, and can push a result falsely high or falsely low depending on the assay.

Tell any clinic taking your blood that you use a biotin supplement, and follow their guidance on whether to pause it beforehand. This is a testing accuracy issue rather than a health risk from the nutrient itself, and it matters.

Who should not use this product

Anyone under 18. Anyone pregnant, who may become pregnant, or who is breastfeeding, without speaking to a doctor first — this formula contains preformed vitamin A. Anyone with a known allergy to a listed ingredient. Anyone already taking a multivitamin or B-complex, until the combined totals have been added up, particularly for vitamin A and vitamin B6.

Results vary

Individual response to any dietary supplement varies with age, diet, genetics, hormones, sleep, skin and hair type, and general health. Nothing on this site is a promise of any outcome for you.
